October 25, 2026
With new proactive AI agents landing and a trailing P/E near 100x, NOW’s Wednesday report looks binary. Here’s how to size it.
ServiceNow trades around $159 with a trailing P/E ratio around 99 times earnings going into Wednesday’s Q3 report. The implied options move is roughly 10% (it varies by data source and timestamp), and history says the stock has a habit of overshooting that number in both directions. That combination makes buying outright calls an expensive way to express a view. A bull call spread is cleaner.

Why This Week Is Different
The AI agent question has been theoretical for most of 2026. It stopped being theoretical four days ago. Anthropic introduced Claude Duet on October 21, directly rivaling Meta’s Muse and OpenAI’s Dots. Powered by Anthropic’s Claude models, it’s positioned as a proactive agent that can work across many connected apps and services. Those are ServiceNow workflows. That is ServiceNow’s customer sitting in the bull’s-eye.
ServiceNow has been moving. The company’s most recent Financial Analyst Day was held May 4, 2026, where management reiterated longer-term targets and emphasized AI as a growing share of ACV. CEO Bill McDermott has said the transition is deliberate and positioned as a feature, not a concession. But Wednesday is where that argument meets Q3 numbers for the first time with Muse, Dots, and Duet now in the market.
What the Fundamentals Show
Q2 subscription revenues hit $3,877 million, representing 24.5% year-over-year growth. Current remaining performance obligations reached $13.20 billion, up 21% year-over-year.
Those are real numbers. The problem is what sits just underneath them. Management said Q2 subscription revenue outperformance was driven by a combination of net new ACV outperformance and on-premise revenue mix coming in ahead of expectations due to U.S. Federal demand that accelerated some Q3 on-premise subscription revenues into Q2. Some of Wednesday’s upside was already borrowed. cRPO is where analysts will look first to see whether organic demand actually held.
Power Bill Revolt Could Hit the Ballot Box Nov. 3: ‘Dark Energy’ Stocks Set to Soar
Power bills have doubled and even tripled across America, and furious voters are about to send a clear message on November 3: get AI off the grid. The only way to get AI off the power grid… without losing to China and crashing the economy… is a criticaltech now being deployed by Elon Musk. One expert calls it “Dark Energy.” Washington has already greenlit it on an emergency basis, it comes online almost instantly, it’s already sold out through 2028… and one small group of companies hold the keys to it.
ServiceNow carries a trailing P/E in the high 90s, a multiple that already assumes AI growth keeps compounding. After Q1’s beat-and-raise, the stock still dropped about 17% on report day. In July, the stock sold off hard on earnings day as well. Beating consensus is not enough. The guide and the forward ACV figures are what move this stock.
ServiceNow is not the only enterprise workflow platform where a high multiple has failed to hold after a beat. Salesforce raised its long-term revenue target and posted triple-digit Agentforce ARR growth, yet the stock still trades 34% below its all-time high.
Options Perspective
NOW’s 30-day implied volatility is elevated versus much of the past year, and options are pricing roughly a 10% move into the report (depending on where you sample the chain). Premium on outright calls is rich enough that a miss on cRPO guidance would evaporate the position before the stock completes its move lower. A bull call spread defines that risk from the start.
The October 30 expiry captures the event with minimal extra theta exposure. A spread centered around the current price, buying a call near the money and selling one roughly 8 to 10% higher, costs a fraction of the outright call while still offering a reward-to-risk ratio above 2:1 if the stock moves toward the upper end of its implied range on a clean beat.
5 Little-Known Stocks Behind Today’s Defense Tech Shift
Behind the headlines, a major transformation is underway.
Modern warfare is being driven by AI, autonomous systems, and next generation technology. A handful of lesser known companies are helping power this shift.
This report uncovers five stocks quietly playing a critical role in the future of defense.
Risk Management
The thesis breaks on three scenarios: cRPO growth deceleration below 20%, a Q4 guidance cut tied to the Q2 federal pull-forward, or any explicit management commentary acknowledging pricing pressure from proactive agent competitors. Any one of those would likely push the stock through the lower end of the implied move, and outright premium would go with it. The spread caps maximum loss at the debit paid, which is the point.
The Beast Verdict
ServiceNow heads into Wednesday with genuine momentum. Shares have rallied sharply into the October 28, 2026 report as investors position for an agentic AI upside case, and the company has posted a string of quarterly beats. Consensus looks for about $4.09 billion in revenue, up roughly 20% year-over-year. The bar is high, the multiple is unforgiving, and multiple new proactive agents have arrived in the workflows ServiceNow monetizes.
That is not a reason to avoid the trade. It is a reason to define the risk before it defines you. A bull call spread on the October 30 expiry gives you the upside if McDermott delivers the numbers and the forward guide, with a loss capped at the cost of entry if he does not. Watch cRPO and net new AI ACV above everything else Wednesday evening. Those two figures will settle the argument the agents started.
