PANW Found 14,090 Holes It Cannot Fully Plug

Here is the tension at the center of every PANW bull thesis right now. Palo Alto Networks used frontier AI models inside its NOVA research system to uncover 14,090 confirmed vulnerabilities across open source software projects in roughly two months, most of which had not been previously reported. That result demonstrates precisely how AI can enable threat actors to automate attacks and compress attack timelines. That discovery is also the company’s strongest sales pitch: the threat is real, it is accelerating, and Palo Alto built the machine that found it.

Pilots Use One. Smart Traders Should Too.

A pilot never takes off without running a checklist. Not because they don’t know how to fly – because they know that the moment something feels routine is the moment a step gets skipped.

Options trading punishes skipped steps faster than almost anything else. So, I put the 7 that matter most on one page.

It’s called the Smart Trade Options Checklist. Normally $29.97. Free today.

Run it before any options trade. Takes about 30 seconds. You’ll catch the bad ones before they cost you.

Through the Frontier AI: Critical Defense Program, leaders across operational technology, healthcare, commercial software, and open-source communities coordinate with Palo Alto to deploy proactive virtual patches that neutralize vulnerabilities at the network level before attackers can exploit them. The business logic is elegant. Critical infrastructure operators, constrained by strict uptime and safety testing, cannot patch at AI speed, and that mismatch creates a significant exposure gap leaving essential systems vulnerable long before software fixes can be safely deployed. Enterprises that cannot react fast enough will pay someone else to react for them. Palo Alto intends to be that someone.

The fiscal Q4 numbers confirmed the demand is converting. Total revenue for Q4 FY26 grew 34% year over year to $3.41 billion, while Next-Generation Security ARR in the same quarter grew 63% year over year to $9.10 billion. Remaining performance obligations reached $21.2 billion, also growing 34%. CEO Nikesh Arora noted the company added nearly $1 billion of net new NGS ARR in a single quarter and described the latest AI advancements as elevating cybersecurity to the top of the CIO priority list.

Elon Musk: Buy Alert

The world’s richest man just launched a new $480 trillion disruption, which could make you massive gains this summer. It has nothing to do with space, robots or AI. It’s much, much bigger.

Full details here.

The stock’s reaction told a different story. Despite beating every guided metric and posting record RPO, shares fell about 5% during the September 2 session and slipped further after hours to around $356, with the selloff centering on a decelerating fiscal 2027 growth outlook and gross-margin compression rather than any weakness in underlying demand.

That gap between fundamental strength and price action is where the options opportunity sits. Shares of Palo Alto have nearly doubled in 2026 as the rise of highly capable AI models spurs demand for newer security tools to detect and respond to agentic cyberattacks, a concern that accelerated as defenders warned that AI systems can increasingly plan and orchestrate attacks more autonomously. The next catalyst is not an earnings date. It is the pace of platform consolidation wins through FY27 and whether margin can recover as CyberArk integration costs roll off.

A bull call spread targeting a move back toward $390, around the current consensus analyst price target, keeps defined risk on the table while the platformization thesis plays out over the next two quarters. Strong ARR growth is the core bull case, but margin pressure, high valuation, and rising costs remain the main watchpoints. Size accordingly. If margins disappoint again in the Q1 FY27 report, the thesis weakens before it strengthens.
